Kings of Leon announce fall tour dates

Fans can’t get enough of Kings of Leon this summer…so the rockers are taking their tour into the fall!

This past Wednesday, the band announced a thirty-plus date trek this fall, just as their 2008 album “Only By the Night” was certified Platinum by the RIAA.

The band will kick things off the new leg of their tour on August 7th in Chicago at Lollapalooza, with plans to bounce between Canada and the Continental US until three last shows in Mexico October 20th, 22nd and 24th.

“Only By the Night” has been bouyed by the success of the massive hits “Use Somebody” and “Sex on Fire” - the latter of which won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a duo or group.

Kings of Leon Nominated for Grammys

2008 has been an extraordinary year for Kings of Leon. They have found themselves firmly establish as one of today’s biggest contemporary bands. They return to the UK for a sold out month long arena tour in December.

Kings of Leon have been nominated in three different categories for the ’09 Grammys:
Best Rock Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals: Sex On Fire
Best Rock Song: Sex On Fire
Best Rock Album: Only By The Night
